Chat AI · Snap, Ask & Create
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026 · Package: com.malikoglu.chatai
Chat AI (“the app”) is an AI assistant. Unlike an offline tool, it has to send what you write to a server to answer you. This policy explains exactly what leaves your phone, where it goes, how long it is kept and how you delete it.
No account
There is no sign-up, no email and no password. The first time you open the app it generates a random identifier (a UUID) and stores it on your device. That identifier is how the server knows which conversations are yours and how many free messages you have left today. It is not linked to your name, phone number, Google account or email.
What is sent to our server
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your messages | To generate an answer |
| Images and documents you attach | To answer questions about them |
| Random device identifier | To keep your chats and daily limit separate from other users |
| App version, platform, language, country, time zone | To answer in your language, reset the daily limit at your local midnight, and fix bugs |
| IP address | Seen by the web server in normal request logs; used to prevent abuse |
The app does not read your contacts, your location, your call logs or your files in the background. The camera and the gallery are only used for pictures you pick yourself.
Who else processes it
- OpenAI — your message (and any attached image or document text) is forwarded to OpenAI’s API to produce the answer. We send these requests with storage disabled, so OpenAI does not keep them for model training. See OpenAI’s privacy policy.
- Google AdMob — the app shows ads. AdMob may use your advertising ID and device data to select and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it any time in Settings → Ad privacy settings. See how Google uses data.
- Contabo GmbH — the server that runs the app’s backend is hosted in France (EU).
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.
How long it is kept
| Item | Kept |
|---|---|
| Conversations and messages | Until you delete them. Deleting a chat deletes its messages and its images immediately. |
| Images or files you picked but never sent | Deleted automatically after 24 hours |
| Daily message counters | One row per day, kept for usage statistics |
| Reports you send about an AI answer | Kept with a copy of the reported answer so it can be reviewed |
| Web server request logs | Rotated by the server, normally within a few weeks |
AI answers
Answers are generated by a language model. They can be wrong, out of date or inappropriate, and they are not professional advice. Every answer has a Report button; reports are reviewed and used to improve the app’s safety instructions.
Deleting your data
- Settings → Delete all chats removes every conversation, message and attached image from the server straight away.
- Uninstalling the app deletes the device identifier, so the phone loses access to its conversations. To have the remaining rows erased as well, use Delete my data.
Children
The app is not directed to children. It is rated for teens and older because a general-purpose AI assistant can produce content that is not suitable for young children.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Türkiye or a similar jurisdiction, you can ask for a copy of the data tied to your device identifier, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below with the identifier shown in Settings → About.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and the new version is published on this page before the change takes effect.
